SOUEAST (东南汽车 Dongnan Qiche) was founded in 1995 as a joint venture between Fujian Motor Industry and Taiwan's Yulon Group. Historically it produced rebadged Mitsubishi vehicles such as the Lancer, Lioncel and V-Series.

Since 2022 and 2023, SOUEAST has been restructured under Chery Commercial Vehicles, the same parent as JETOUR. Current SOUEAST models are JETOUR-derived vehicles built for specific export markets in Central and South America, the Middle East and parts of Southeast Asia, with production continuing in Fuzhou, Fujian province.
